Beginning from approximately the second quarter of last year, the Bank began the process of searching a new ABS that meets the strategic goals of the Bank. A working group was organized in the Bank. After assessment and multiple discussions a decision was adopted to apply ABS BankSyst as proposed by Tieto Company from Estonia. In January 2009 a package of contracts that regulated cooperation of parties under this project was signed. In addition to this, adopted was a comprehensive plan of actions to be taken by December 1, 2009, which is the deadline appointed by the Bank’s management for launch of the system.
At present the analysis group comprised of representatives of the company developing the system under the project of application of a new ABS system in the Bank is engaged in this work. Establishment of an accurate and specific understanding of the required functionality is an important and key stage from the point of view of analyzing the current situation for determining the work volumes in the future and gaining a clear understanding with regard to implementation of the project.
