On 4-5 October the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association (AMFA) hosted the 6th annual Microfinance Conference in Baku.

A wide range of topics was discussed including Azerbaijan's current "Ease of Doing Business" international ranking, the business environment, and the future of microfinance in the national market.

Yalchin Abdullayev, Head of Credit Risk Management at PASHA Bank, was one of the speakers at the event. He commented: "It is important for PASHA Bank to share our finance and risk management issues experience with our direct clients - non-bank credit and microfinance organisations. This conference is a great platform to share our knowledge and discuss best practice case studies, as well as discuss stronger cooperation with microfinance organisations in diversifying risks and increasing performance efficiency."

Over 100 representatives from the public and private sectors as well as international delegations participated in the two-day event.
