PASHA Bank has announced the students who will receive the PASHA Bank Scholarship this year. The scholarship will be paid in the course of the year. Given the large number of qualified applicants, 12 students will receive the scholarship as opposed to 10 as announced earlier.

PASHA Bank scholars:

1. Jeyhun Babirzadeh - Junior, Azerbaijan State Economic University. Azerbaijan Business Case Competition winner, UN Human Development Program participant. Acceptance test score - 600.

2. Nargiz Rashidli - Sophomore, Azerbaijan State Economic University. Worked with the National Accounting Qualification (MMK) and OSCE as an interpreter-observer during the 2010 parliamentary elections. Member of ASEU SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise at the Azerbaijan State Economic University), AEGEE (Association des États Généraux des Étudiants de l'Europe)-Baku PR team. Acceptance test score - 602.

3. Firuza Mammadli - Junior, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. Third place winner of an ASOA economics conference in English. German TestDaf test score - 17. IELTS test score - 7. Acceptance test score - 578.

4. Farid Hajibayli -Junior, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. One of six winners of the ASOA Debate Tournaments in 2009. Won the ASOA Brain Ring competition in 2009. 1 BOOK = 1 FUTURE winner at the Social Liability and YOU competition. Acceptance test score - 562.

5. Mobil Mammadov - Sophomore, Azerbaijan State Economic University. Member and project participant of the Irali Public Association. Participated in certified trainings organized by the Azerbaijan Study Academy. Acceptance test score - 672.

6. Lala Rzazadeh - Freshman, Azerbaijan Sate Economic University. Winner of a Baku physics academic competition in 2010. Voluntary participant of numerous organizations such as AIESEC (Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales Association Internationale des)-Azerbaijan, SIFE-ASEU (Students In Free Enterprise at the Azerbaijan State Economic University), ATGTI (Azerbaijan Student Union of Youth Organizations), ADIU-TGT (Student and Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan State Economic University), PCs for KİDS and the Eurovision Song Contest Baku.

7. Parvin Aliyev - Student, Azerbaijan State Economic University. Active participant of the Young Accountants Association and the Economic Research and Education Center.

8. Konul Guluzadeh - Sophomore, XAZAR University. Acceptance test score - 572.

9. Talat Gurbanbayov - Sophomore, Azerbaijan State Economic University. Coordinator of the Third Unit Debate Club and member of the Azerbaijan Young Students Organization. Participant and active member of the CIS Summer Leadership School organized by the Azerbaijan Young Students Organization in summer 2011.

10. Javidan Gasimli - Freshman, Azerbaijan State Economic University. Winner of the Talented Young Scientists project in Azerbaijan. Participant of the Socioeconomic Development of Turkic-Speaking States in 1990-2009 international conference at the Azerbaijani Art School. Winner of the Environmental Protection and Ecological Problems Today conference.

11. Khayal Ismailov - Junior, Azerbaijan State Economic University. Awarded a certificate for successfully taking part in the JA Business Ethics Project and the From Civic Education to Civic Activism program. Participated in the Water international project and awarded the title, "Young Star Scientist." Participates in the Modern Economic School project organized by the Irali Public Association.

12. Tabriz Mammadli - Freshman, Caucasus University. Fourth place winner of a math contest held among Azerbaijani schools in 2009.

The project aims to assist talented and socially active students from domestic higher educational institutions. A candidate pool for the private and state sectors began to be compiled last month on the basis of the program. PASHA Bank and the Azerbaijan Young Students Organization - its partner for the project - together reviewed approximately 500 scholarship applications.
