International conference under the auspices of PASHA Bank

On 5 October the State Committee for Securities of Azerbaijan, the World Bank, and Azerbaijan's leading corporate and investment bank, PASHA Bank, hosted the international conference "Formation of Capital Markets: trends, challenges, opportunities" in Baku.

The covered topics included trends in the development of state regulation in the fields of securities, stock exchange and depository centre development, and the role of banks in the Capital markets.

Farid Akhundov, PASHA Bank's Chief Executive Officer, commented:

We have significant plans for further growth, as we intend to strengthen our position in the national capital market in Azerbaijan."

Over 100 representatives of various organisations including the National Deposit Fund, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and international representatives participated in the event.
