PASHA Bank Board Member has been elected as the new Head of National Group of SWIFT users

New Head of National Group of SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) users has been elected at the special meeting held on April 17 at Azerbaijan Banks Association.

The representatives of the Azerbaijan bank community have nominated Emil Hajiyev, PASHA Bank Chief Operating Officer and Executive Board Member as the head of the National Group of SWIFT users. It should be noted that E. Hajiyev has wide experience in this area, and earlier directed SWIFT-group of the of Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Settlement Department.

SWIFT is an international organization operating in the sphere of financial telecommunications. More than 9,000 banks, financial institutions and corporations from more than 200 countries around the world use the SWIFT network to exchange standardized financial messages (about 2.5 billion payment orders per year). SWIFT is the only organization that is financially responsible for the transmission of messages between users.
