PASHA Bank has been named “Bank of the Year” by The Banker

The Banker, the pre-eminent financial industry publication has recently held its 18th “Bank of the Year” awards ceremony in London’s vibrant, trendy culture and entertainment area. PASHA Bank, the leading Azeri corporate bank, became the winner of this prestigious award in the Azerbaijan category.

This year, the prize was awarded to leading banks from more than 140 countries around the world. Along with PASHA Bank, the award acknowledged the performance of a number of international financial institutions including Raiffeisen Bank, Societe Generale, BNP Paribas and others.

According to the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board of PASHA Bank, Taleh Kazimov, the award of this international prize is, above all, the recognition of Bank as a strong financial institution.

"We can already see that key achievements for 2017 included proactive growth of business volumes and maintaining high quality of the loan portfolio. In light of this, we regard the the award not only as a recognition of success for the Bank, but also the recognition of all our clients. The know-how that has been introduced at PASHA Bank in the course of this year helped us and our clients to build even more efficient cooperation and to move to a new level of partnership," Kazimov concluded his thoughts.

The Banker magazine, which is part of the Financial Times Publishing Group, has been published since 1926 and is one of the leading international financial publications. While defining the winners of the award, the editorial board of the magazine takes into account not only the financial results, but also the successes of banks in implementing development strategies and application of new standards and technologies.
