PASHA Bank, one of Azerbaijan’s largest banks, participated in Sibos for the seventh consecutive year. Sibos 2016 took place in Geneva on 26-29 September, 2016.

Sibos is the premier international event for the financial services industry, which comprises a conference, exhibition and networking opportunities. The event, organised by SWIFT, attracts over 8,000 delegates every year from the world’s leading financial institutions, corporations and technology vendors.

The theme for this year’s conference programme was ‘Transforming the Landscape’. The conference sessions explored the key issues facing the financial services industry in an ever-changing world, including the digital banking model, the latest technology trends in the sector, and new innovations in compliance and risk management.

According to the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of PASHA Bank, Taleh Kazimov, Sibos is an important business forum for international financial services firms, which defines the boundaries of the financial industry’s future development.

“For us, Sibos presents an opportunity to not only showcase our achievements, but also to build our relationships with the world’s leading financial institutions and technological players. During the course of Sibos, we held numerous meetings with the biggest global players in our industry to discuss mutual interests and how we could work together to expand the possibilities for PASHA Bank customers in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey to operate internationally,” said Mr Kazimov.
